The 36th IAEA Annual Conference
The 36th IAEA annual Conference will be held in Bangkok Thailand, from Sunday 22 to Friday 27 August 2010 at The Ambassador Hotel. Message from the IAEA Conference Organizers: We have received many emails inquiring about the IAEA 2010 conference and would like to assure you that the organizing committee has carefully assessed the situation and decided to proceed with the preparation plan for the IAEA 2010 conference, which will definitely taking place during 22 - 27 August 2010 at the Ambassador Hotel in Bangkok as previously announced. From the IAEA Executive Committee Update (13 june 2010): The IAEA Executive Committee supports the decision of the conference organizers to proceed with the 2010 conference in Bangkok. We very much hope that all of those originally planning to attend will be able to do so but recognize that, as always, the final decision rests with the individual. IAEA 2010 Distinguished Student Scholarship Deadline for receipt of submissions: 22 April 2010. The IAEA 2010 Distinguished Student Scholarship will support the attendance of one individual at the 2010 IAEA conference to be held in Bangkok, Thailand from Sunday August 22 to Friday August 27. The scholarship will consist of a maximum stipend of $2000 US to cover travel, subsistence, and conference registration costs. Eligible candidates must be students enrolled full-time in a doctoral degree program in educational measurement or educational assessment, or a closely related field.

From the IAEA Secretary Owing to an irregularity in the nomination process for membership of the IAEA Executive Committee (EXCO) at the recent IAEA Business Meeting in Brisbane, the nomination of EXCO members was declared null and void. (Note: This does not apply to the nomination of IAEA officers, President and Vice-President.) The two IAEA members who were nominated at the Brisbane meeting have already been contacted about the situation. Primary member organizations in the UK have been officially invited by the IAEA secretary to propose their nominee(s).

The newspapers must be aware of the fact that IAEA members are heading for Australia in September.
